The Grand Rapids area offers some of the finest hunting and fishing in Minnesota. Pine Acres Resort is located on Prairie Lake which is a very scenic lake with 17 miles of shoreline, with a maximum depth of 31 feet and water clarity of 6.5 feet. Prairie Lake is excellent for Pan fish, Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

Bring along your favorite bird dog, the Grand Rapids area provides world-class bird hunting and is also the home of the prestigious National Ruffed Grouse Society Hunt which is held each October. White tail deer hunters can find a prime location within a short drive of Pine Acres Resort. The mixed hardwood forests and numerous lakes provide excellent habitat for white tail deer. Deer hunting opener weekend is a tradition of its own in Grand Rapids, MN. Bring the wife, there is plenty for the hunting widows to do in the area with city-wide craft sales and special ladies entertainment.
